![]() ![]() I’m really quite awed by Casey McQuiston’s insights into life as a member of the royal family and life within the walls of The White House. All that being said, I actually found the political and royal backdrop of this book really fascinating. ![]() Because of all that, I was a little bit unsure of how I would take to contexts of the book. Let me just get this out of the way: I have never been someone who has much interest at all in the royal family and I have, for the most part, felt appalled and ashamed of recent American Presidents (obviously excluding Obama) and also of the Prime Ministers in my home country (Australia) and the UK, where I currently live. Of course, I am still keeping this review spoiler free! All you really need to know is that it’s a super adorable, beautiful, hilarious and rather dramatic love story between a fictional Prince of England and a First Son of America. Due to this, I’m not going to bore you with a summary. Now, at this point, I’m pretty certain many of you have already read Red, White & Royal Blue or at least know what it’s about. ~~Hooray, with this book I’ve reached my 2019 Reading Challenge of 65 books! Now let’s see if I can make it to 70…~~ ![]()
